My name is Brehnan Miller, I'm 31 and I'm from Kentucky. Any fellow Kentuckians out there??
I've played drums for the past 20+ years and piano for 10+ years. I've been a working musician the past 10 years or so, and for the past 4 or 5 years I've been teaching as well. I've worked mostly in rock and jazz as a sideman and have written instrumental music in those styles mainly, but I'm really interested in developing in other styles like electronic music. I subscribed to Taxi's mailing list years and years ago (not sure how), but I never bothered to really investigate it until recently. Oh how I wish I had done this sooner! Anyway, I uploaded my first piece which was returned as expected, but the feedback is really the important part for me right now. I've always taken people's compliments with a grain of salt, so it's really refreshing to get an unbiased critique. I know I need to make improvements, but sometimes I'm not sure what needs improving. You don't know what you don't know, right? Therefore, my goal for this year is to try to develop my craft by utilizing all of the resources available from Taxi, including going to the Road Rally (hopefully live and not virtual 
). So far I've listened to many of the Taxi tv podcasts, some of them more than once, and I've been trying to work every day writing to the listings that I think I can do. Now I'm trying to get immersed into the community so I can learn from the Taxi veterans on here.
