Help ID this song (it's driving me nuts)

Post by davewalton » Fri Aug 18, 2006 11:00 am

Hi,OK all you classic rock guys and gals from the 70's. I heard a snippet of this a couple of days ago on the radio. I can't remember the name of this or who did it. Here's the opening chord progression:www.DaveWaltonMusic.com/PrivateArea/MysterySong.mp3The chorus says something about "you will find peace of mind" (I think). Anyway, it's driving me up the wall.Help! Dave

Dang, Dave, my home computer's soundcard doesn't work. This is the last straw, because I know I'd NAIL the answer! What are the chord changes or melody? This is so frustrating! Ern

Well, I went for the obvious, but I don't think it's "Peace of Mind" by Boston...

Quote:Hey DaveYou didn't give us much to go on here!! CaseyWhat kind of music trivia buffs are you guys anyway? Sorry but that's all I got. I'm just remembering this from a 30-second blurb when I turned on the radio the other day. I'm holding out for a non-Taxi music history/trivia buff friend of mine. I'll let you guys know when I find out.Now this is turning into a quest.

Quote:Now this is turning into a quest. Apparently I'm not the only one on this quest. I found this on a classic rock forum:"I am trying to find the song/artist for a classic rock song. I believe some of the lyrics are: You will find peace of mind, like you never had before, that will open any door.... Thanks!"It's the same song I'm trying to ID. That at least gives a little more info.

I've heard that before but I don't listen to enough of that kind of music to know it. You really ought to listen to lyrics now and then.

The music doesn't sound familiar to me but the lyrics are a lot like that old Clapton song "Presence Of The Lord", he really rocks at the end of it. (We used to play that one years ago)
