Re: Help: Tascam US-144 Cubase LE Problem
I think we're close.Cubase LE does not allow selection of any sampling rate other than 48K. Going into my control panel for my PC's audio card, I can't find anywhere to send it's sampling rate. Any thoughts?

Any thoughts?Well... sounds like the PC card is fixed at 44.1 ---You might could change the default output of your computer to be the Tascam and always listen through that...Or... is there an option to change the sample rate when you bounce out of Cubase... then you could bounce (convert) to 44.1 for your mp3's --- though that won't fix the import problem.Weird... that's why I use a PC for office stuff, and Mac for anything else - especially audio Aub

Any thoughts? In which case, anything playing from Cubase out of your PC soundcard will come out sounding too low in pitch -- no way around it I don't think. If Cubase LE lets you convert file formats from its Pool window, then you might be able to implement some kind of workaround using that. I imagine that the sample rate of the Tascam is fixed at 48kHz, hence the restriction in the stripped-down version of Cubase that came with it.Quote:Or... is there an option to change the sample rate when you bounce out of Cubase... then you could bounce (convert) to 44.1 for your mp3's --- though that won't fix the import problem. This might again be restricted on that version of Cubase LE, but you never know. It'll be in the Audio Mixdown dialogue box (from the File menu's Import submenu) if it's there at all.

Any thoughts?CaseyI use Cubase 4 . I'm away from home until Friday so I'm working from (a bad) memory here.In Cubase 4, I drop down the Project menu (third or fourth from left across the top), the last option at the bottom Project Setup or maybe just Setup. Click it.There will be a number of options for the Project. Check 16 bit, 44.1, import the MP3.Concerning exporting mixdowns, a window should pop up at the export with a number of options to check - sample rate, bit rate, stereos etc...I'm sure you've done this already and I'm teaching Gramma to suck eggs!Liamwww.myspace.com/liamkellymusic

My sound card is fixed at 48K and has no other options. So when I pull down that menu you mentioned, the only item that appears is 48K. Off-line (thanks songwriter!) I got some suggestions including trying a different sound card driver. I may have to buy a different sound card if that doesn't work. Thanks to all of you for your help. You all rock and I always know I can come here for help. Casey
