Hey Everybody-
I've been lurking for a little bit, just getting a feel for how things work around here. Haven't had time to sit down and write a little introduction until now.
I'm a singer/songwriter from a little town near Chicago. I haven't officially joined taxi yet. I'm still on the fence. I am leaning towards JOIN but right now I'm "enjoying" a free trial over at songu.com (I only heard of them through some songwriting contest that my fiancee signed me up for). Not nearly as many pitch opportunities over there but still a few that I have submitted to.
Hopefully a link to my reverbnation page is in my signature. I have quite a few songs there. If you're looking for a mellow pop/rock place to start, I'd recommend "Loveless". I hope you stick around long enough for the guitar solo in that one. If country-rock is your thing, check out "Livin' In These Hard Times". I'm really plugging that one around right now to different places. And if you want a harder rock thing, check out "Rough Draft". This one is from my last album from May 2010 and has made the rounds on a few different internet radio stations.
Anyways, I hope to learn as much as I can. Already learned quite a bit just reading some of your posts. Glad to be here.
