JD, it's coz I like you a lot, and I know there is a good heart within you, and it's not coming across that way today. However, I can't tell you how to act...it's not my place.Sometimes, my humor is a little biting...sorry.

Re: Hi guys, I'm tired.............
Oh no! a four letter word! We're doomed You know, sometimes its good to put things in perspective. A lot of people use four letter words all the time. some hardly ever. Personally, it doesn't bother me. I've been known to utter the odd expletive myself. The thing is, did anyone ever come to any harm by hearing one? Is there anyone alive over the age of 18 who has never heard one?I put this in the same category as whoever runs our local TV station. They find it necessary to blur out a nipple, should one appear on TV. What catastrophy would occur if it wasn't blurred out? Would there be rioting in the streets by people who were suddenly exposed to an unexpected nipple? Do they not realise that nipples are not, in fact, blurry objects on everyone else?Go look at some of the needless suffering in the world. Or some of the deaths that happen for no good reason other than greed, race, politics or religious differences. Look at all the people who are struck down by illness thru no fault of their own. Then come and whine about someone using a four-letter word in a joke.
It's a fine line between a thick soup and stew.

War, catastrophe, greed, race, politics or religious differences...I'm cool with all that. But those nipples really freak me out. And, hey...why do I have them anyway?

Re: Hi guys, I'm tired.............
JD, your perspective is uniquely yours. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it looks like you're gathering steam to vent a little. I can't tell you you're wrong, Lord knows I've posted some of the dumbest things here... Sometimes it's easier to fire off a quick & pissed off response, than it is to look for the little trigger, that'll help someone feel like they already possess the talent and tenacity they need. One thing I use these forums for, is to understand myself better. When I find myself in disagreement with a ton of people on here, the voice of Michael Laskow starts talking to me. He reminds me that although I am talented, and I've spent a career making music, it does not necessarily give me the extra knowledge I need to interact with people in a way that makes their lives better. Don't take my post as a challenge to you. I'm just telling you a bit more about why I love this forum. Although we are all basically in competition for many of the same opportunities, we are also making each others lives better. Caring about people I don't know, matters to me in a way it never used to.
