how can I find my CAE# for my publishing co

i've been all over the ascap site (and ran the searches there) w/no luck - I do come up as a writer and I have setup the company (about 6mos ago) I got the membership card & # but I can't locate the CAE # - need it for a new library - any suggestions beside calling/emailing ?thanks..

Hey JP,If you go to http://www.ascap.com/ace/search.cfm?mode=search then select the Publishers radio button then search for your publishing company, the results page should list your CAE# if your publishing company is found. If your company doesn't come up in the search results page then you're probably going to have to call ASCAP to get that number.- Big Blue

thanks Barry, tried that & it looks like i'll have to call them - I setup my new accounts over @ ascap and you'd think that # would be listed in my publishing account,but it's not ?

almost by mistake I found the # - when using the ascap search engine try to search with and without quotation marks.my publishing company came up without the quotation marks, but wouldn't with them - I always use quotation marks when searching for my writers CAE # so I just assumed that's the way to go ? - anyway problem solved - thanks

What a difficult system. My PRO is STIM here in Sweden, when I click on the details for a song I've done, I got the CAE/IPI info instantly.

If you can see your name, don't click on it-- the CAE number should be listed right next to your name. If you can't find your name, make sure you're searching correctly (as "writer" or "publisher", depending upon how you signed up). If that still isn't showing anything, you probably need to call. thanks Raags, had trouble getting my publishing company to come up but after a little messing around - there it was.I enjoyed that article I read about you in Recording Magazine awhile back (was you right ?)
