Re: How do you guys keep your music compositions organized?
I'm going for this in the New Year Keith.
Watched all the videos, and it's just what I need.
Downloading the demo now to have a play, but will treat myself to the full version after the break.
Great job!

I put the kettle on, it didn't suit me.

I have Tunesmtih and like it a lot. The DEV is very responsive and the software works well. I stopped using it because I was missing some financial stuff that I wanted, so I created my own spreadsheet.
But it does work well. I think Keith may offer a - better isn't the right word, more suitable program for me.
Cheers

I took a look at some videos and I'm not sure if that handles multiple publishing deals, alt titles, publisher splits, etc. It seems to all deal with the copyright of the track.
That is one major component that drove me to create Composer Catalog.

It seems to starting here with the screenshots and hitting next. It seems to do many things, including the "rhyme genie and songwriting elements that seem to be an odd combo, lol, and it seems it might be a little cluttery if you don't want to keep track of all your session musicians and their life's story and contact info. It seems to also keep track of all your submissions or pitches by acceptance, hold, rejection, the mac version has a calander reminder for follow ups...
I don't know what "financial stuff" KC was refering to, he didn't elaborate, enough to quit using the program, so it might be wise to consider incorporating that into your program, unless maybe the "stuff" has to do with stocks, bonds, and futures, lol!

This looks like it is the alternate title(s) that you would fill in for your own PRO registration of the main track, not another publisher's alternate title.
Say you sign a track to two non exclusive publishers. Each publisher would have their own title. It would not be under the alternate title for your own song's PRO registration.

Re: How do you guys keep your music compositions organized?
I wanted to know what particular library and what particular cues were making me the most money or better yet, getting me the Most placements. If I know that library X is getting me more placements that library D, I can focus my attention on library X. If I know that my tension cues are getting a lot more placements than my dramedy, I can either focus on more tension cues, or I can work to figure out why my Dramedy isn't getting placed.Len911 wrote:http://www.rhymegenie.com/screenshot22.htmlkeithl wrote:I took a look at some videos and I'm not sure if that handles multiple publishing deals, alt titles, publisher splits, etc. It seems to all deal with the copyright of the track.

I'm not sure, but I think Keith is planning on incorporating this into a future release. I hope so as it has become very valuable to me to track this kind of info.
