I Deserve Good News!

Post by ernstinen » Tue Oct 10, 2006 2:24 pm

I got really good news in the mail today --- and I deserve it after all the b.s. I've been through over the last year and a half.About a year ago, I had a symphonic piece entitled "Elegy" recorded by the Kiev Philharmonic. The record company kept stalling and stalling on its release (which should be soon ), but I kept after them to send me a CD-R of my piece.Today, I heard the recording for the first time. It's just a fantastic performance and recording! I can't believe it, because my previous recording of "Vermilion River" with the Bulgarian Philharmonic kinda sucked.I'm so fired up, for the first time in so long!I'm NOT insane for writing music that is important to me.Keep the faith, baby!Ern

That's because they want to sell CDs when it comes out.Makes sense to me, because I make $$!I'll eventually do a comparison of my Midi recording versus the orchestral recording. Should be interesting!Ern

Just as a suggestion, rather than posting publicly, you could ask people who are interested to send you an email and you could then share privately through individual responses to those select emails.

Congrats Ern! I second Dave's idea. It would be lovely to hear the piece.
