I do that too...except for the one tune.

I agree with Doyle. I submit music from a singer/songwriter who's had the good fortune of compiling a large catalog of professionally recorded music over her 15 year career. When you take into account one upload for the song itself and then another for the instrumental, 50 spaces can fill up rather quickly.

I always wondered why we can't email mp3's and lyrics for listings? That would solve the problem! If that would create a management nightmare, a simple filing system could be setup with email filters that put songs from particular submissions into their own neat little folder. There's got to be a reason.

If taxi decideds to implement this change and save on server storage fees, I'll take a lifetime subscription as payment for the idea :D

If folks feel that the 50 song limit is really a problem, they should call or email Taxi directly about it. Then, if enough people complain, they might address it. As you know, they are developing Taxi 2.0 so therefore they may not want to change the current system. In time, it probably will be a non-issue when Taxi 2.0 finally comes out.

For myself, and most of my Taxi friends, this hasn't been a problem. But then again, I'm not all that prolific and don't mind juggling a little, uploading or deleting as needed to support current submissions.

The best work-around, for now, is to put everything (including lyrics!) on a RevebNation (or similar) page. I do that and make all my RN tracks downloadable as well. (No one really wants to steal your music)… Then, if I need to restore something on Taxi, I can re-download from RN, copy/paste the lyrics, and upload to Taxi.

I’m not saying you SHOULD have to do all that… Just suggesting a work-around for now.

Best,
:) Casey
