...
Hey Marc, Chris, Logan,
This is great! Sounds great. That Logan guy sings the heck out of it.
I like this line:
You keep telling me you're sorry,
But I’m not seeing one tear

Re: I'm Begging You Please (FEAT Logan Rayne Pepper)
Hey guys:
I loved the production, and then noted one line that i thought didn't quite fit . . . "can't you find it in your heart, if you've got a heart" . . . I thought it was a slam toward the lady . . . and since he was begging to get her back, why would he suggest she had no heart? But when I took another listen, it made more sense. This guy's trying to face up to the fact that the lady's dumped him -- but hasn't quite come to the full realization.
Nicely done.
p.s. at least I pay attention to the lyrics.

Thanks Ern! It's my old faithful Rode NT2-A. I use it on almost all my vox. Recently I've also started bussing my vox to a single track and adding a spoonful of T-Racks EQ for extra crispiness.ernstinen wrote:
Logan! Nice to hear from you about this project. Man, I am extremely impressed by your vocals, and the overall midrange sound. Very crispy! What microphone did you use on your vocals?

Cheers,

- Thanks Paul, good idea about Daughtry!feaker66 wrote:Marc
Love that vox start. Wow. Could really feel that.
I had a chance to jump on this early this morning and waited for a few others to chime in first.
You might want to get a hold of Daughtry. He would grab this up in a minute.
On it's own, the vox is simply excellent.
Holy cow this is a big sound.
This is top notch bud.
I have a feeling this one might put you over the top.
Nice acoustic bridge and then pow.
Fantastic
Excited for yawl.
Paul
I can't thank Logan enough for gracing this song with his astonishing vocals, I'm trying my hardest to make him famous!

- Thanks Dean!
- Thanks Ott, glad the lyric came together for you, I should pay more attention to lyrics.

Cool! I really like the Rode on your voice. Plus --- I'm also a fan of the T-Racks EQ in ProTools. Very easy to use. I sometimes use my Waves EQ, which is nice in its own way, but my "go-to" EQ is the T-Racks. It just "works." No bells and whistles --- just makes sense to me and sounds good!audiorayne wrote:Thanks Ern! It's my old faithful Rode NT2-A. I use it on almost all my vox. Hey guys!
Wow, killa killa! Im a closet Nickelback fan, so I really dig this.
Amazed how you pour out these consistantly great productions, Marc. Damn, you've got some good chops down!
I didn't feel the vocals in general needed more volume. It's rock, so it needs to be in the pocket, unless it's just a demo, of course. I felt the intro vox was a tad too loud instead, maybe turn that down 2-3db, and the rest will sound more balanced too?
The a la Nickelback became pretty obvious fast, so I started listening for Chad Kreuger effects, and you did double some lines, but.. how bout delays and octaver?
Great work, guys! You've got the schhiiiiz

When you're surrounded by great musicians (yourself included), it's makes things a bit easier.
The majority of musicians/writers I work with I met right here on the TAXI forum, so ... thanks TAXI, this is a great place!
