i think i'm addicted to the road rally

Post by JamesCarvalho » Wed Apr 08, 2015 2:47 pm

I am already thinking about the rally... is that crazy?
it will be my third one 2015..

it WAS weird the first year... (didn't know anyone) but, the second year i had SOOO much fun meeting cool people.( i was more prepared) i made some friends on the forum FIRST. that worked out nice.

i wonder what the third year will feel like.. maybe i'll be the one of the cool kids.. and i can watch the newbies walking around confused like MY first year.. LOL!!

last year was my first Road Rally and I can really relate to what you are saying. I will be better prepared for the next one, although I still had a great time.

Hey Jimc and Mark

Interestingly I was thinking just yesterday about the Rally and how my first one last year was an eye opening experience.
For the second one I will treat it differently having a bit of Rally experience.
I loved the first one though.

Don and Mark,
there IS so much opportunity at the rally..

50% friendships of cool people who enjoy the same thing as you. :P
50% business that you only get one chance to make a first impression. :o

My thought was be yourself, be open minded, positive and make some friends.
If you roll in all business you might not get far. there IS a tight family there
and they seen us come and go. its better to be asked about your music than to whip it out. (IMO)

No matter how good you think you are... or "are not" there is place for you there.
like i said the first year was weird, the second year was much better just made some friends with barely no agenda.

I crave the rally again but, I must say i feel the need to do MORE than i did last year..
i did some things right in the last years... and, i did some things wrong too.. The only thing i can say is that "the rally machine" is always watching.. so the friends you make and how you treat them will decide your fate.. no need too network too much there. just watch and learn..... enjoy life and the people and in a nutshell .. taxi will provide you lots of knowledge and resources if your a cool positive person .. also watch TAXI TV.. and ALL of the old episodes..

Oh and Casey,
I will definitely go to your class this year.. i found myself needing the topics you cover recently.. great story you did with Michelle's blog.. i read it twice and use it as reference.. thanks always for your help your great guy.

regards,
James

yeah at the Rally you meet so many cool and professional people. Loved my first year 2014. At the next 2015 Rally I just plan on just hanging out and attending a few classes. Will do the lunches again cause they were fun and I got to eat. Oh and love the early morning starbucks in my room while watching the sunrise over the California desert. Brought out my first EP last Rally and that was a cool project to do. Will do another EP for 2015. Good times and good life long friends were made at the Rally. Taxi members are my extended family now. :D
