I took my studio apart today.

A cozy place to hang out and discuss all things music.

My wife and I are in the process of moving from northern NY to a suburb of Minneapolis, MN, so we can be closer to our 2 year old granddaughter. The studio came apart today...wires, wires, everywhere! All music projects have been on hold for the last 6 weeks but I should be up and running in a couple of weeks. We have been living in this house for 32 years so you can imagine all the "treasures" that we have had to part with.

The good news is that I will have a nice, big room for my studio and it will be a much shorter flight this year to the Rally.

Back to work...

Bob

True, but in this matter, I'm being completely serious; hence the lack of winkies/smilies. Of course, any decisions regarding snow blowers are entirely up to you. I expect snow up to the eavestroughs, in my neck o' the woods, either just before or just after the turn of the year. Your mileage may vary, whatever and ever, amen.

I believe it! When you get lake effect snow off of Lake Michigan, you CAN get snow up to the eavestroughs! I grew up on the lake, and one winter our cars were buried and there were 10' drifts. Even snowblowers couldn't make it down our road. They finally brought in road graders.

And inland, wifey and I lived on a lake south of Kalamazoo. One storm blew drifts OVER our house! And the only way out was that we had a sliding door on our northside porch! The only way to get around was either cross country skis or snowmobiles. The SE side of Lake Michigan is a lot like Buffalo, NY. Talk about cabin fever!

Yet another reason to stay in California!

imagine if John Williams and Trent Reznor met at Bernard Hermann's for lunch and Brian Eno was the head chef!

Yup, I'm sick of wildfires. We've been evacuated 2 times, and the other week there was another one about 100 yards away. The first one, we luckily found a hotel room, but we had 2 cats. The hotel "graciously" charged us $150 for a "pet fee," even though we kept them in the bathroom with clean boxes, water, & food. Sure was nice of them. The following morning, we walked to Del Taco for something to eat, and the sky was raining ashes. All over the car, sidewalks, everything. The Cops wouldn't let us back home until 3:00 P.M.

Hi Guys!

This is starting to sound like a forum on the Weather Channel! Funny!

Stan, I knew I heard those "words" before! "Oof, dah, yah, yah ,yah" I think it is from Lady Gaga's "Bad Romance"!

Ern, Fishing sounds great at some point but not this trip. I'm still in NY. Before I got married, I used to have a lot of outdoor adventures and drowned a few worms. We have been married 32 years so I am a little out of practice, as far as fishing goes, but I'm up for an adventure if you have the patience. Can you bait my hook for me??!!! :D

Mazz, We spent a week in Santa Cruz a couple of summers ago and decided to see the Golden Gate Bridge before our flight home. It was a beautiful, hot, sunny day but when we got to the bridge, it was covered with a thick cloud of fog. I could barely see a faint outline of the bridge. That was pretty weird!

Mojo, when Jim Cantore of the Weather Channel goes on vacation, maybe you could be the host of "Storm Stories"!

Elser, we are very fortunate to be composers in an age where we can have a full orchestra at our fingertips.

The enormous North American Moving Van took my life's possessions away yesterday leaving me with a TV, computer, guitar and a sofa to sleep on. It is kind of depressing here now so I might head out to Minnesota next week for a couple of weeks. For you football fans, it looks like Brett Favre is back on board for the Vikings! It makes the move a little less painful.

Have a nice day everyone!

Bob

Ya, here in Reno it's not uncommon to get a 4 foot dump in the winter. Luckily my neighbor has a snow blower and likes to use it.

Yah, sure, ya betcha! I learned fishing up on Lake Vermilion from my grandpa and my dad. I like to fish with nightcrawlers for live bait, but am basically a lure fisherman. Depends on the time of year! Ya gotta floooat in da boooat to get dem fish! If yer line ain't in da water, ya catch nuttin' --- Fishing is a real "art." I bought a fish finder a few years back, and I got WORSE at catching dem walleyes! Staring into a computer screen is like work for me, so I gave it up. I'll still use it to find bottom depth and structure,, but you have to "feel" Mother Nature and all her variables to be a good fisherman.

Remember, the MN state bird is the loon, an amazing creature! The secondary state bird in the mosquito. :o --- BTW, we're tied in years married --- Good for us!
