Makes me appreciate all the software solutions, imagine if all your gear was hardware.djbobm wrote:Hi Everyone!
My wife and I are in the process of moving from northern NY to a suburb of Minneapolis, MN, so we can be closer to our 2 year old granddaughter. The studio came apart today...wires, wires, everywhere! All music projects have been on hold for the last 6 weeks but I should be up and running in a couple of weeks. We have been living in this house for 32 years so you can imagine all the "treasures" that we have had to part with.
The good news is that I will have a nice, big room for my studio and it will be a much shorter flight this year to the Rally.
Back to work...
Bob
True, but in this matter, I'm being completely serious; hence the lack of winkies/smilies. Of course, any decisions regarding snow blowers are entirely up to you. I expect snow up to the eavestroughs, in my neck o' the woods, either just before or just after the turn of the year. Your mileage may vary, whatever and ever, amen.elser wrote:You're ridiculous!mojobone wrote:I've consulted with the spirits; it's gonna be a big year for snow in the MidWest. I believe it! When you get lake effect snow off of Lake Michigan, you CAN get snow up to the eavestroughs! I grew up on the lake, and one winter our cars were buried and there were 10' drifts. Even snowblowers couldn't make it down our road. They finally brought in road graders.mojobone wrote:True, but in this matter, I'm being completely serious; hence the lack of winkies/smilies. Where, on a good day, the mudslides are puttin' out the wildfires. (courtesy fellow Hoosier David Letterman)mazz wrote:Yet another reason to stay in California!
Yup, I'm sick of wildfires. We've been evacuated 2 times, and the other week there was another one about 100 yards away. The first one, we luckily found a hotel room, but we had 2 cats. The hotel "graciously" charged us $150 for a "pet fee," even though we kept them in the bathroom with clean boxes, water, & food. Sure was nice of them.mojobone wrote:Where, on a good day, the mudslides are puttin' out the wildfires. (courtesy fellow Hoosier David Letterman)
Ya, here in Reno it's not uncommon to get a 4 foot dump in the winter. Luckily my neighbor has a snow blower and likes to use it.mojobone wrote:True, but in this matter, I'm being completely serious; hence the lack of winkies/smilies. Yah, sure, ya betcha! I learned fishing up on Lake Vermilion from my grandpa and my dad. I like to fish with nightcrawlers for live bait, but am basically a lure fisherman. Depends on the time of year! Ya gotta floooat in da boooat to get dem fish! If yer line ain't in da water, ya catch nuttin' --- Fishing is a real "art." I bought a fish finder a few years back, and I got WORSE at catching dem walleyes! Staring into a computer screen is like work for me, so I gave it up. I'll still use it to find bottom depth and structure,, but you have to "feel" Mother Nature and all her variables to be a good fisherman.djbobm wrote:Ern, Fishing sounds great at some point but not this trip. I'm still in NY. Before I got married, I used to have a lot of outdoor adventures and drowned a few worms. We have been married 32 years so I am a little out of practice, as far as fishing goes, but I'm up for an adventure if you have the patience. Can you bait my hook for me??!!!![]()
