“Inception” or “The Shining”

Post by addhitman » Fri Aug 09, 2013 3:15 pm

First ever post. Hope I don't sound stupid...

I got a forward for the listing below (hooray!!!!!!!)
I understand that it may take some time to hear from the music supervisor but not hearing back makes me wonder if there's been a flub and I may never hear back. Shouldn't there be a little more communication?
We're all having anxiety attacks on a daily basis wondering if our submitted songs will be picked.
Then when one finally is forwarded we now have more anxiety wondering when/if we'll ever hear from them or..
So, again, Shouldn't there be a little more communication?
Just a simple hey there we got your song and we'll get back to you in ______ months with a contract?
Maybe I just need to chill.
Anyone else out there get picked? Lemme know if you've heard anything.

Thanks for reading and best of luck to all of you :D

HOLLYWOOD MUSIC SUPERVISOR working on a very cool Feature Documentary, U-R-G-E-N-T-L-Y needs Mid-to-Up tempo INSTRUMENTALS that will put the fear of the dark side in you. This is a very music-centric project that already has several huge names from the Hard Rock/Metal world attached to it. There is also going to be a Soundtrack Album that all songs from the Documentary will be considered for. For this pitch, think about the score from “Inception” or “The Shining” as inspiration. Tracks that will make your hair stand up on end are the order of the day. “Inception” http://bit.ly/9dnM19 Quoting The Music Supervisor again: “I would like to hear Orchestral Instrumentals like those in the referenced Films. I’ll also be open to listening to aggressive Hard Rock score that has the same dark and evil attitude. If I can somehow put these two styles together, I will be a very happy lady.” You must own or control 100% of the Master and Composition. DO NOT rip off the referenced Film Scores in any way, shape or form! Use them ONLY as a guide for TEMPO, TEXTURE, TONE, and VIBE. Broadcast quality is needed (great home recordings are fine). Please submit one to three tracks online or per CD. All submissions will be screened on a YES/NO Basis by The Music SUPERVISOR herself! All instrumentals must be received no later than Tuesday, July 16th, 2013 at 9:30am (PDT). TAXI #D130716HI
