Hey - are there any instrumental composers selling any of your work from download sites? Tunecore.com is making a big pitch through music stores to have people sign up with them; they then place your music in multiple download stores. Has anyone had success or experience selling downloads? Any opinions on Tunecore or on any particular stores or sites? Thanks a bunch - Andrew

Re: Instrumentalists - selling from download sites
I sell through CDBaby, who also do digital sales at iTunes and many more. You can compare the prices and see which method would be more beneficial. But I trust CDBaby quite alot, and also have my website hosting with them (HostBaby.com). And yes I have only instrumentals... Looking at Tunecore it looks like the number of digital sales would need to be higher in order to overcome the ongoing $19.98 per year "storage" fee. Frankly I don't sell all that much, but I do sell more digital than actual CDs, so CDBaby works well for me...--Mer
