Hi Everyone,
My name is Stephen....I have been a Taxi member for a while, but I'm just starting to view the Taxi forums. I just read Hummingbird's suggestion of introducing myself and thought it was a kool idea....thanks Hummingbird! I also just put my link to my music in my signature....Thanks too, for this idea, Hummingbird... I didn't think to do either of these things.
A little bit about me...I love music, and have studied many instruments over the years. I was a guitar performance major at Temple University many years ago... I am now fortunate to teach beginning band and strings to third and fourth graders in three elementary schools...In my spare time I enjoying walking the trails in nearby Valley Forge National Park, playing pinball, rooting for the Philly sports teams, and writing music. Over the years I've had several pieces placed in some reality TV shows (Catfish, RHONYC, Vice News). I've kinda hit a wall in the past couple years and have become stagnant in my writing. I'm trying to get back into it and take it to the next level. Last week, I asked for a critique on one of my pieces, and got some awesome feedback on how to improve the mix! I see that this is more than a forum, and is a really helpful and supportive community that I'd like to be a part of. I'm looking forward to meeting everyone and sharing lots of music!
Sincerely,
Stephen

Re: introducing myself (new to the forum)
Welcome Stephen!
This is my first year with taxi, I'm about 10 months in now. I've not had anything forwarded or placed yet, but it's been a great learning experience so far. I've found the feedback in the forums and from the screeners both valuable and humbling. A good group of people from all over. =)
Cheers,
Brad

Thanks for reaching out to me. I've been a member for years. My forwards have been few and far between, I tend to submit sporadically. I estimate that 1 out of 10 of the submissions I make gets forwarded. I agree agree that this is a kool forum to be a part of. Keep submitting!
Best,
Stephen

Sorry about that - I read that wrong. Like the listings, I need to pay more attention. =)
Well welcome to the forums, and thanks for the advice. Working on another submission now.
