Inviting all musicians

Post by stephen1977 » Fri Sep 19, 2008 12:26 pm

Not sure if this is appropriate or not, and if it isn't, please just remove this post, I don't want to step on anyone's toes here at all.But I would like to invite all of you to add your music to my independent music site Audio Village. Its all free. No catch. Non-profit. I run this site for the love of music and the people who create it and nothing more. You can upload as much as you like. Mp3. Videos. Etc. All of the users there can vote for songs, give them star ratings and we even have a chart system in place. Its pretty cool. Its like one big musical hangout.I just launched the site a few months back, so a lot more is to come and I still have some bugs to work out. I would love to see you all there. We have a lot of fun.We review each others music, rate it, etc., etc. Like I said, its very interactive. I even put together a feature artist cd a few months back with some fantastic finds! But anyways.A friend of mine described the site as Myspace for musicians. I guess that's pretty accurate.Come check it out. If you are looking for another place to have your music and a presence and meet some other fantastic musicians, well this is the place.Talk to you soon!www.audio-village.com

Hello Stephen. I only write lyrics. Thanks for creating the site though.I did not see a "genre" selection. That would be a nice addition.

My apologies.Ironically, I was talking with a guy a few nights ago who is a "poet" and how he writes his poetry in the same format as a set of lyrics, i.e. verses, repeating chorus, etc. and suggested to him to join the site as a lyricist to show off his writings. When you sign up, you will see options to place yourself in whatever category, or genre that you wish. I haven't implemented the "genre" links yet for passer-byers but you can simply type in "lyricist", or "rock, " or "country" into the search and it will bring up whatever and whoever falls into those categories. I am working on this however. If you sign up, you can simply choose, "lyricist" as your category or "genre."I would love to see you there Larry!

Great to have you a part of our community! I mean there aren't very many places where musicians can upload unlimited content at no charge and I'm just glad I was able to put a place together that gives artists that opportunity! I mean why pay for it!!!! Thanks again for signing up!

That's gotta make ya feel good! That's a nice surprise Stephen. Thanks. Now I know how The Beatles felt when a song hit the charts! I posted that song here for comments weeks ago.Got some good feedback, but just haven't got around to reworking it yet. It's taking most my time trying to get my engineering chops up to scratch!Cheers,Dave.
