Cool stuff. ( am a bit confused about genres) like the string things on "Archangels" and the techno sounds from "Brandenburg" (though I was thinking "Brandenburg concertos by Bach" by tiltle). Very eclectic. I like it.What do you think of the genres here? www.myspace.com/deuxguitarviolsCheers;Jonathan

Jonathan - this is mighty fine stuff. The standard of composition and musicianship is of the very highest. I salute you, sir, from behind a green mask of envy! All the best.

Jerrobin,Thanks for the kind words. You are actually the first to reply to one of my posts. Have not been feeling the love..... Still trying to define my genre; I do not know if it is rock, world, Jazz, prog, guess it is all over the map. Which is fine by me, it is just difficult to decide which direction to pitch these tunes to. Everybody wants a labeled box to throw 'em into....Stay in touch;Jonathan

I hear so much in there. Santana (obv), bit of Fairport Convention. But uniquely your own. May I suggest - if you're not already - you do some serious digging of your own for pitches. What you have no-one else has. This is YOUR BIG THING. Pursue directors/producers with that Latin vibe going on. I may be talking nonsense as I am seriously unsuccesful at present - but I'm a dime a dozen. You are not. Use that uniqueness.I rant on don't I!

Good stuff. "Cary Grant" and "Arms Bend Back"sound influenced by - but not derivative of - Belle and Sebastion."Botox Baby" brings to mind Toy Matinee and XTC. Lots of very cool ideas swirling around making a unique and tasty melange.Congrats and keep it up!Steve

Ta very much. People have made the Belle & Sebastian connection before although I'm not too clued up on their work. XTC's interesting. I'm rather fond of them.Cara has a great voice. I'd have thought, with all the country listings that come up, she'd do very well in that genre too. You've probably already covered that, though. Cheers again.

Ah - but is it commercial? I kind of felt it might be. Now I'm not so sure. I wish I didn't have to think like that at all. But I guess that's why we're all here.Cheers, Jonathan.

Ya never know. Perhaps you could 'test market' "Botox Baby" by playing it beauty salons. LOL. Figure out who the song might strike a nerve with and try going that route. I recall the story of how Windham Hill's Will Ackerman (before there was a 'new age' market) sold early WH albums in health/natural foods stores. It was a hit with that market and it took off. In those days, record stores/radio would not have known what to do with it. I am still trying to figure out my own market. Perhaps I should advertise my CD in Guitar-Geek-freak publications because people do trip out on the novelty of the instruments I am playing (I build these things as well). Still seraching for the nitche outlet...Keep @ it! JW
