Is this song "Broadcast Quality"?

Post by thaman » Wed Oct 03, 2007 12:46 pm

Let me know what you think: a.) How does the song itself sound, and b.) Is it "broadcast quality" (I'm specifically unsure because it's not mastered, so it doesn't sound "loud enough)...Thanks.Link: www.taxi.com/ramansachdev The song is called "Good"

Nice tune. IMHO with some mastering punch you would be in the broadcast quality ballpark. I agree with carr that the vocal needs some punch. Good voice, I'm just not getting the "feel" or energy that I think could really sell this song. Make me believe you Also, if you are going to submit this I would drop the sfx at beginning and end. If your hope is to get this used with video, they wouldn't want to fit to existing nats.Aub

IMO, have it mastered and kill the sound fx at the beginning and end and it will be fine. Nice song, reminds me of Los Lonely Boys.

I guess my question is: Does this song NEED to be "mastered" for TAXI to consider it "Broadcast Quality", or is it fine the way it is in that respect?
