ISC 2006
Did anyone else submit music to the International Songwriting Competition this year? I ask because I've received two emails so far about a song I submitted advancing to the next round of judging (eg. I'm now in the third round). While the letter states that there were 15,000 entries, it mysteriously neglects to say how many advanced on. I'm wondering if they sent these letters to EVERYONE, just to make them feel like they're making progress, and to encourage them to submit to the next years ISC. OK, maybe I'm a little paranoid. But it's certainly realistic. So, if you did submit to the ISC, have you gotten two such "advanced to the next round" emails?

I got one e-mail saying I had advanced to the second round, and that finalists would be announced "around the end of January"--no mention of a third round.

The ISC website must not be working quite right. If I click on the semifinalists for 2005 it takes you to the 2004 winners. Have you been able to find the semifinalists page?

Re: ISC 2006
No. The kind of music I make doesn't usually fit well into "songwriting" contests.
