Jazzy drums?

I really love using Addictive Drums. They have a sticks and brushes expansion with some killer sounds.

I agree AD jazz kit is great.

Also Native Instruments 50's drummer has great sounds for jazz especially the ride cymbal sound.

Loops are fine too, as long as you are looking for that sound .

+1 I use Addictive Drums for just about everything, cuz I bought just about everything they make. There are ways to make any kit sound 'jazzier' starting with what you play, how you mike it, how you treat it in the mix; I like to compress an overhead mic or two and give it a squish 'til the crash cymbal says "bish". You can hear this effect on Tony Bennet Unplugged.

Loops can work pretty well, too but are a bit less flexible.

You might take a look at Drumcore 4. Drumcore uses live audio loops that you can tweek. There are a bunch of patterns and fills by Greg Kepplinger, great drummer from Seattle amongst others. Each pattern is provided as an audio loop and as a midi loop and they have sampled the drummers kit so you can tweek to your heart's content. Programming Jazz drums can be difficult, it has a lot of idiosyncrasies not common to any other drum style.
