This was my first forward after being a Taxi member for a little more than a year. After our last email CBS called me and setup an interview. We then were invited to the semi-finals in California. It was an experience like no other! The cast and crew for the show "Jingles" were all terrific. They paid for our airline tickets, shuttle rides, food, and hotel stay while we were there trying to get onto the show. While I am not allowed to discuss details about the show (how they eliminated teams and who is on the show) I can only say that it was amazing who we met and how far we've gotten. We made it to the very last round of the finals and then were told we were not going to be on the show. However, we are probably going to be on t.v. getting "the boot." haha. Either way it was a great experience. My teammate James S. and I wanted to thank you and Taxi again, for without you, this incredible experience would never have came to be. I now believe the power of being a Taxi member. Thanks again,” Michael M.TAXI MemberInteresting stuff for the month of July! We never grow tired of hearing your deal shout outs! Wait a minute! I WAS a slacker! (At least in reporting my deals.) Those licensings and placements happened over TWO YEARS' time (and from a single forward to one music library) . . . Had i received that many deals in ONE MONTH, well, THEN maybe some composer's envy might be in order. So, even though I'm delighted to be having some good placements and deals over the past two years, in my view, it's a steadily growing thing, rather than an avalanche of music-o-lisciousness all at once. And I promise not to wait until I'm 95 to report future deals.Your composing cohort,Suz

(Sung to the tune of Monty Python's Lumberjack song)...She's a slacker and she's OK!Reported her deals just the other day... We sometimes get a little goofy (and it's been one of those weeks for some reason). There's been a lot of good fortune in the last two years for forum members here as well. I have to say, that of those placements, the one that would be the most appealing to me is the first one I think, the "Lego Land" deal. I remember before joining Taxi (in 2004), seeing a listing where someone was looking for African music to be placed into an exhibit that would be at all the major zoos across the US. I just thought the concept of standing in line and hearing my own music would be the coolest thing. Have you visited Lego Land and hung around to hear your song? Speaking of hanging around... please hang around the forum more! I sense that you fit in here as much for your personality as for your music.Dave
