I am turning green with envy already. Have an extra platter of spicy sweet potato fries for me. Ah well, if I can't be there Wed. night, maybe the other "lady" from last year will come by again.

We will be there (Elizabeth and I.) Can't wait. Well, yes I can. After all, it's still 40+ days away. Not gonna sit at LAX and wait for it to start. So I think I'll find something to do during those 40+ days. What shall I do? Well, for one, I could write and record a whole bunch of material. Since that IS what I do for a living. And I think, just for grins, I may go out and play a few gigs...since that is also what I do for a living, however modest a living that may be. But it's OK, because I'm doing something I enjoy to make a few bucks, and how many people can say that they TRULY enjoy their job, eh? Not many, I tell you. I mean, I could be digging a ditch for a living. The pay may not be all that good (I'm not really sure since I don't know any ditch diggers), but all you're doing is digging a ditch, not really much training or brainpower needed, correct? But then, perhaps correspondingly, there's also not much enjoyment to it. Not to mention the physical exertion, as well as the cost of shovels and such. I would imagine if you ditch-dug for a living, you'd go through a lot of shovels. Plus you'd need different sized shovels for the many and varied types of ditches you'd likely dig. Remember what I said about the lack of enjoyment in ditch-digging? Well, at least you'd have the variation of digging different sizes and types of ditches, AND as a bonus, doing so with different types of shovels. I wonder how ditch diggers transport their shovels....do they use like a golf bag? Or maybe there's some special type of bag specifically made to accomodate shovels? Not really sure...but if not, THERE'S a market for you. Ditch digger shovel bags. AND you could have different sizes and colors of bags, wheeled, not wheeled, whatever. If no one's explored that market, they really should. Could be a bunch of money to be made there.

What was I saying?

Oh yeah....Rally here I come!!! :) :) :) :) ;) ;) ;)

Due to an odd change of fate I will be coming to the Taxi Rally this year afterall! It must be good karma :)
I will be arriving Thurs too. Where do you all hang out?

Do they give a prize for coming the farthest, if so I may win it coming in from Kazakhstan, ha ha.

Looking forward to meeting you ALL in person, finally.

Take care,

Alicia

Generally, everybody hangs out where the alcohol is located... which is in the lobby directly to your left when you walk in. Can't miss it.

There is NO truth to the rumor that the person who travels the furthest picks up the bar tab. ;)

You know, out of curiosity, I would LOVE to see what the bar sales are during the rally
