Hi Alexander --I liked # 1 best for the overall feel, and # 2 for the rhythm and beat. How might either or both of them sound with some brighter percussion (e.g. cymbals/ middle eastern percussion e.g. tablas/ goat hooves/ marimbas or kalimbas etc.) and doubling the melody with something a bit more exotic sounding, e.g. Chinese Ehru or sitar, Japanese Koto , or Irish fiddle? They could even do a bit of call and response or echoing each other. There's a wonderful documentary/ music production called "1 Giant leap," in which a filmmaker and composer traveled the world recording musicians from different countries. They would begin with an African Marimba band, then take that recording to some Greek Tabla/ percussion players, who would listen to it and layer a part above that; then on to a singer from India, who would sing above those recordings, etc. etc. The result was a wonderful merging of global styles of music, each unique to their culture, yet somehow blending together in a powerful new way.The listing you mention reminds me of this idea -- very specific instruments from different cultures come together in new ways. Who knows? Maybe even some yodeling might be called for. !!Anyway, nice tunes! Wishing you good results !!Suz

Thanks for all your responses! I think this listing calls for songs that are somewhat spare in the arrangement. When I listen to the songs/artists mentioned they only use percussion, guitar, flute and bass.

Is this a button ending at 20 seconds ? I have a very good 22.5 second instrumental that will suffer if I cut off that last 2 seconds.I have re-mixed to fit 20.00 seconds, but I miss the ringing reverb from the last ‘smybol’ hit that ends the song more artistically.Any ideas ?Bob

I would be out (and sounding perfect) at :20 - If the network is going to a break at :20, your ringing verb will be cut off -

Hey, these both sound good, I think #2 is closer to what the listing is looking for.

Hi orest,I liked both of your songs-- first I felt #2 was the top choice, but #1 also has its perks as a pitch for this series' main title. I think both of them are good forward material, and it will be interesting to see what the show finally selects for it's title track. Good luck to you!! Raags
