its very good.

$699 is a decent price.

usually there is one time per year when they put a "cross grade" to KUltimate for $499 if you already have a full version of Kontakt etc. But they always change the time of year.

It is a great price and it has many great packages. No excuses for not having enough sounds
I bought quite a few solo packages on Black Friday sales that were included in Komplete Ultimate so I chose to buy only Komplete 10

But the Ultimate is the way to go if you need the sounds and now is the time

Maybe. All depends on what you already have and what you've already spent. I won't be buying Komplete Ultimate, because in some cases, I already own the instruments being sampled/emulated in software, and enough mics/amps//outboard processing to properly shoehorn them into a mix. I also have a suitable room and enough experience to record live musicians playing real instruments, but sometimes, I don't have the budget for all that.

True! It's worth it if you don't have that. :D

Question for those more expereicned.. does the Ultimate have usable strings? I am considering dipping my toe into listings that call for strings (there was a recent rock anthem hybrid listing that called for strings as well, woudl like to at least try on those). I have heard Cinesamples is a great string package. If a guy got this ultimate, woudl that work for strings, in your opinions? I have Komplete 10 now.

cheers.
