Kontakt 5 and Evolve Multi Question

Post by sansharbour » Mon Jun 20, 2016 1:14 pm

I wondering if anyone could help me here.

When I am using Evolve and go to the Multis I push the key board and the first multi plays

When I go to highlight the second instrument in the multi it doesn't play

In the videos I watch when someone highlights the instrument it plays as indicated in its volume window

I can't do this and it's driving me crazy

Can anyone explain what I am doing wrong

Thanks
Don :D

Edited: I should have said what the problem was first, which is that the output of the second multi, wasn't configured correctly. Most likely because of the following. However if the midi light doesn't light, the controller channel doesn't match the channel for the instrument.

*NOTE: If your soundcard only has 2 audio channels, all of your multi instruments will need to output on the same 2 channel stereo audio channel. In other words, if you have 4 stereo multi's (8 channels), and the soundcard only has 2 audio channels, if you want to record them on separate tracks, you can only render one track or instrument at a time, and have to mute the other instruments. You will be able to determine that by step 2, "soundcard/host output:" pic, the drop down menu will list your audio channels, if it don't drop down, you only have 2 channels.
When I go to highlight the second instrument in the multi it doesn't play
That's the first clue that you might only have 2 audio channels available in your soundcard. ;)
