KT's Drum Trigger VST

I've had this thing in my quiver for a couple years, and couldn't bring myself to use it, ('til I had no choice) cuz the interface is frankly a mess, but it functions very well indeed. Better, in fact, than some commercially available products. Beyond the cluttered interface, the only real drawback is that it doesn't work with stereo files. (not a problem, if your DAW lets you split 'em) And for the price, (FREEBIE) it's a no-brainer. You could literally set up a cardboard box, a tin can and a glass bottle in front of an SM57, whack 'em with spoons/your foot and use the resulting track to trigger EZ Drummer. You can even track dynamics to output MIDI velocities that follow the track(s) you're replacing. (up to three instruments per instance) It's even easier if the original kit is split out to tracks.
