Lack of Instrumental listings

Post by DennisPMusic » Fri Feb 17, 2023 11:43 am

Hi taxi members

I have been a Taxi member for 1,5 years.
In the last 1-2 month I have noticed a large decrease of Instrumental Listings. Right now there's only 3, and one of them is for Mexican style of music.
I only compose instrumental music, so I don't see much value in my Taxi membership right now. I know that they can't control what listings they are offered, but if this is a trend, I'm not renewing my membership in 5 month.

Best regards

Dennis

It ebbs and flows. Sometimes there's too many..sometimes not enough.

It is what it is , all you can do is maybe venture into some new styles.

I was gonna write the "ebb & flow" thing (being reasonably/seasonably normal) - but that comment's already been posted.
Ditto.
They'll cycle back around, eventually... probably. :? ;) 8-)

Dave Kropf says that Dispatch has more instrumentals, generally.

I've noted this as well. From Nov. through Jan. there was a large number of instrumentals now mostly song requests. Hope this is just a lull and not the new trend. I did like the idea of working on developing number of instrumentals using previous postings for reference, that's what I've started to do. Will also pitch a song but my skill level is still not good enough to crank out songs that fast.
