"Last Laugh"--comments? thanx Gaunce and Mosher
hello friends and relatives--just finished this tune, it's a remake of an old one i don't believe any of you have heard--originally written about 6 years ago after an ex-union "official" wrote something absolutely FALSE about me in a local rag--anyway, i was pissed, and here's the song, pretty much as the lyric went then...it actually fits for many situations (he says...LOL).MANY THANKS TO WADE MOSHER FOR HIS PRODUCTION, GUITARs, ETC. ON THIS, AS WELL AS BILLY GAUNCE FOR NOT ONLY A GREAT BASSLINE, BUT I PICKED HIM TO SING IT--for a very good reason--he was perfect for it.now, what genre? who the hell knows, could be 'tween, could be pop/alt, could just be another crazy heinsite tune that has no merit at all...comments welcome, here's the words...the song can be had at the b'jam site way down there in orange...Last LaughV1Forget your theories, forget your fateIt's simple, YOU'RE to blameAs you sit and meditateYou're incapable of shameYour lousy tries and half-baked liesAnd if I recallWhen I tried to tell the truthMy words bounced off your wallsCHa ha ha ha haHa ha ha ha haHa ha ha ha haLast laughV2Yeah I'm glad that I got outOf the world that you're locked inIf it ends the way I thinkYou're blinded by your sinsYou set out to smear my nameBut smart friends only laughedYour words were like the Sunday funniesLining someone's trashChorusBreak for nice guitar workChorusV3 outroSo crawl away back to your rockOr slither if you chooseI believe in wins and lossesAnd guess what...you lose!Chorus outro

Warren,Love it. This is my favorite song ever from you. It is FANTASTIC. Wade and Bill are fantastic. The lyric is excellent. The chorus is a great idea and works beautifully. These are great lines:Your words were like the Sunday funniesLining someone's trashSo crawl away back to your rockOr slither if you chooseIt is great fun. Fun, fun, fun. Catchy, catchy, catchy. I think it is pop, but I catch a bit of a Ramones-ish feel or something similar in the verses, just a bit. This song will make you some money.DeanPS My only nit .. in line 2 you spelled YOUR wrong .... YOUR'RE .... lol

WarrenYawl put together something special here.Listened once, went in and watched the early news and was able to come back and sing the chorus from these failing memory banks. It sticks.Guitar work was awesome and the mix sounded perfect. Great teamwork here bud.WILL be nice to hear this on the radio.Paul

thanks to Warren for having me work on this, it was a blast to sing and play bass on (the bass was especially fun) and Wade did a great job with the other instrumentation and putting it all together.A very cool song Warren!

THANK you all very much for those encouraging remarks--yeah i NOW know...LOL...that the "your" is wrong as posted, heck i had to type them out on the page up there, i don't have a paste thing on taxi, but no worries--and i was typing too fast. i do no the defference in the speling of the words...ha!great production by wade, great bass and vocals by bill, thank you guys. thanks for the lyric comments, Dean, you have me blushing...Paul, Marc, this is one of those examples i've talked about of tunes that we have laying around that are roughly produced by ourselves, that when we revisit a good idea, something pretty damn good can come of it... ok, i'm amending the words up there--nobody mentioned the other your mistake? love you guys, thanks for taking the time to listen--aint like the "old" days i guess when there would be folks lining up to review here, but stuff changes, and we all get busy. warren

Warren, you've already heard the spin on this one, i just wanted to add my 2 cents, Great Job, from the guitars playing off each other to the lyrics this seems to be a slam dunk. Sort of a Collective Soul vibe which is a good thing.
