Licensing fees for website play.

Post by gongchime » Wed Nov 07, 2007 7:58 am

How much in licensing fees should I get if someone puts my music on their website that gets 30-50 unique hits per day? He's also playing my stuff on his radio show.

I don't think there's much of a standard for this kind of licensing. That level of traffic is not particularly high... if it were me, I wouldn't ask for more than $100-150 or so, and even that might be a lot.

I found this on Google...Look at the section "Streaming: How To Get A Performance License" to see what BMI and ASCAP are charging.http://www.boutell.com/newfaq/creating/ ... overs.html

ggalen,as far as we can see, that article does not say how much "we" should charge. Thanks, Zircon.
