Hi Pierre,
Much better and cleaner with the sax. I would make the keys much smoother ,lush sounding(maybe more vibrato) and also the small runs like at 20-21 second and a maybe other places through out the song, it's sounds a bit stiff with the timing.

That's all for now.

Good luck
Great comments, thanks Andre... work in progress

Much cleaner. I read the listing and " current-sounding R&B instrumentation" so I hope you don't get the dreaded quote.

Regardless it is a nice track.

Good luck

Hi Andre and Chris for your replies.
you where to the point!
Many thanks for your comments.
This is my last mix
Still a work in progress... a mix is never finished.
But at some point it has to go and ''play in the traffic''

Hi Pierre, I listened to the last mix. It’s definitely better but IMO is still not where it’s supposed to be for the listing. I’m encouraging you to put the reference track and your track in a session and A/B the sonic quality. Your Kick is still not loud enough for that style. Sometimes I feel that it’s also rhythmically not totally in the pocket. I’ve been a big fan of R’n’B all my life and there is one thing I noticed: besides the vocals of course, the Kick and the Bass are in terms of sound and being played in the pocket, the detrmining factors for this style! Listen to the refs and tweak it so it’s as close as possible. Good luck

Hi Chris, many thanks for the comments. I mixed with subwoofer because it is most probably the kind of system it will be played on (46Hz boost).
As for the ''pocket'' I will listen more closely.
THX again
