Hi, everyone. This is my first time posting in the TAXI forum. Does anybody have an opinion on whether this song fits the listing?

Submit well-crafted songs that highlight an inventive Alt Pop sound, with a rhythmically, melodically, and lyrically inventive approach. Songs should be well-structured, with plenty ear-candy in all sections of the song, and a chorus that's ready for radio! Be sure your production and overall demo presentation is really professional for this pitch! Please submit one to three Songs online or per CD, include lyrics. All submissions will be screened and critiqued by a TAXI screener handpicked by the Label and must be received no later than 11:59PM (PST), on Friday, May 27th, 2016. TAXI #S160527AP
I submitted it to a previous "contemporary pop" listing because so thought it sounded similar to the Lorde reference they provided, but it was returned with the comment that the melody had more of an "adult contemporary" feel than a contemporary pop sound. And they do have a point. I originally envisioned this song as a Portishead song that either Lorde or Adele could sing...theoretically, of course. Maybe I need to wait for the right AC listing, but now I've lost perspective.
Thanks in advance for your feedback on whether my song is a reasonable fit for this Alt Pop listing!
Keith
