Quote:I was trying to be encouraging ... sorry if i came off as anything but,DRelax Dog... everything's cool here. I didn't take what you said negatively. You simply expressed your opinion and I simply expressed mine.I've played Tuesday nights before and they suck. I posted this because the club scene in L.A. never ceases to amaze me. You gotta understand, I grew up with a father that actively supported his family by playing in clubs throughout L.A. - when they actually paid musicians to perform. But, now, musicians have to pay for a timeslot.Ironic, don't ya think?

He'd teach band and private lessons weekdays, and Friday and Saturday nights (and sometimes on Sunday) he'd play 4-5 hour gigs. Without his "moonlighting," we 5 kids would starve (and I'm not being facetious) with teacher's salaries being what they were. But performing musicians these days in L.A. have to get used to being treated like shit. Personally, I've played many paying gigs here, trying to make a living, where you are treated like a second-class citizen. You have to hide in the kitchen between sets, talking to the dishwashers, begging for some rolls and butter. You can't walk through the front door of the hotel, even though the banquet room may be 20 feet away --- you have to slog through the garbage at the rear loading dock to wheel in your gear.I'm not whining, though. It's just reality, and you eventually learn what you want to do or don't want to do.So, hook up your U-Hauls and y'all come on out! Ern

You've been in my play-list for a while now and I consider myself a fan and I wish you guys the best.DogsThanks, D...Those are the most encouraging words I could ask for. I'll pass them along to my bandmates... Cheers!
