Logic help Please.

Post by michael11 » Sat Dec 22, 2007 11:38 am

I am in the process of learning Logic Pro and I.m sure I.ve done something stupid because for no obvious reason the volume on my midi tracks seems to jump about 3 db.I have deleted all the track automation but I am wondering if I have triggered some global parameter by mistake.By coincidence my copy of mac pro video arrived from the US today but from what I have seen so far they are going to need a lot of looking at!!!!!Any help would be appreciated.Thanks.

maybe I can help, I also noticed a weird thing that happens when I delete global track automation stuff too.It can reset the arrange window to show automation view thingys. Don't like it much.Do you know where you undo history is? You might be able to get back to the way things were that way.But without more detail, and seeing your screen, it's tough to know what happened. Do you know how to tak e screen pictures with your mac.. That could help figure this out as well...I'll be around all day, PM me if you like, or send me you phone #. Probably clear it up in 5 min.steve Quote:I am in the process of learning Logic Pro and I.m sure I.ve done something stupid because for no obvious reason the volume on my midi tracks seems to jump about 3 db.I have deleted all the track automation but I am wondering if I have triggered some global parameter by mistake.By coincidence my copy of mac pro video arrived from the US today but from what I have seen so far they are going to need a lot of looking at!!!!!Any help would be appreciated.Thanks.

Michael,I don't know if this helps but I was getting the same problem when a friend brought over a sequenced part that I imported into Logic. Every time I played the song from the beginning, the volume would go to the same spot even when I adjusted the automation. Finally I realized that when we loaded his sequence, it also loaded a midi volume setting. If you click on "list" and then "event", it will show you all the midi events and you can adjust (or in my case, delete) the volume event there.good luck.Dave
