Looking for Good Music Libraries

Looking for Good Music Libraries
I am looking for music libraries. I just started songwriting a few months ago. I have 4 songs that I recorded, and they are mostly "Rock Retro” If you have any recommendations for some good music libraries for my specific type of songs, I would really appreciate it!
Any comments on what direction I should go with my songs would also be highly appreciated!

Forum rules prevent us from naming specific libraries. Furthermore, many publishers and libraries don't accept unsolicited submissions, so simply knowing the name of a specific library is unlikely to be of much help; you'll need a lot more information than that, if you intend to market your music directly. Better to work the program and have your work submitted to pre-screened Taxi opportunities, at least until you're well-established enough to go it alone; there are pitfalls you may be unaware of, and a little education can be a dangerous thing.

I agree with Mojo. Continue to write and submit to Taxi listings, as your tracks get forwarded you will make contacts with libraries.
Since you state that you are new to writing the critiques will be a good learning tool.

Good advice from these guys!
To add two things:
1. Good contacts in the music business are often hard won over often years of work and practice and networking. Those contacts aren't often shared offhandedly, particularly with newer folks who haven't established relationships with their peers just yet. For me to recommend you to one of my library clients, I would have had to meet you in person, hang out with you, know your music and trust that you are a professional and can not only produce great music, but can conduct yourself in a way such that my reputation with that client is not damaged. I have a feeling there are lots of folks in my shoes who would feel the same way. No reflection on you, it's just the way it works in the business.
2. It's perfectly fine to Google production music libraries and submit "cold" to them. But it's often the case that first impressions are lasting, so ask yourself: "Is my music ready for putting out there to these folks." If the answer is yes, then the next question to as is: "Can I supply them consistently with high quality music?". In other words, are your chops up to the task of filling their needs directly, consistently and on target? This is where Taxi comes in. It can be, if you work it, a great training ground to get your chops, both musically and business wise, up to speed. Also, when you do get a forward from Taxi to one of these libraries or publishers, typically it's on the top of the pile because it's more targeted to what they need at the time. If you submit to their website "cold", you really don't have the inside information on what they are looking for. So if you submit rock tracks and they have a ton of those already and really need acoustic tracks, it may be a long time before they get around to reviewing your tracks.
Just some things to consider as you proceed along your path.

Submit to Taxi because (1) you can make library contacts that way and (2) you will test the waters to see how your music stands up in the library music world... #2 is very important step, because as mazz said, when you get those library names, you want to be ready with the right stuff.
Also, make use of peer-to-peer reviews right here. Post links to tracks and your goals for them and you'll get feedback from a lot of knowledgeable folks. The forum as well as the road rally are great places to network and get to know fellow composers.
