Looking for someone to collaborate with...

Post by pierce67 » Mon May 30, 2011 9:54 pm

I'm a lyricist with melodies in my head but no ability to compose music. I write in different genre including pop, Gospel, Christian, rock and country. I can write the words and sing the songs. You can check out my soundclick page to see if it interests you. I am an honest person and hope to work with people with similar integrity. I have worked with a friend in the past and would like to work with others as well. I am looking for someone who plays the piano/keyboard too. I love the guitar and generally keep connecting with guitarist. Thanks for reading my post!! I am excited and looking forward to completing more of my songs... THANKS!!

I wonder if I should feel offended that no one has responded. LOL! No, I will just keep waiting while looking for people to work with. I wish I could figure out how to put up my avatar! Maybe then people will feel more comfortable. Who knows... waiting, waiting, waiting... waiting! LOL!

I wouldn't feel offended. I know a lot of folks around these parts are pretty busy right now and have their hands full.

I would suggest you get to know the people around here by spending a lot of time in the Peer-Peer section - build relationships there. Then you will have a better understanding of who on the board matches your style and philosophy and can go from there.

Or you can hire someone...

Hi, Stacey,

I'm always open to collabs myself, but it's a difficult process for a lot of people, since it involves letting go of your own vision of a song and allowing it to become something else, and I think that puts some people off trying it.

I had a listen to your stuff. I think you have a good voice, and I would certainly bear you in mind if I had a gospel song or a hard dance track I needed a singer for, but in all honesty you're gonna need to step up your vocal recording quality to be in with a shout. Nearly all of what we put out via Taxi must be what Michael calls 'broadcast quality' – in other words, it must be good enough to play as it is, without any re-recording. I hope that helps and doesn't offend.

Feel free to check out my stuff on SoundCloud if you wish; maybe you'll relate to some of it, maybe not, but all connections have future potential, don't you think? Who knows, further down the line....

Hope you get more response to your posting, and best of luck,
Nick

Hey Stacey,

PM me when you get a chance.....I'm a composer with no lyricist....I am living in Europe, so if you don't mind online collaboration and Skype calls at crazy hours, we could get along.

have a great day everyone !!

Stevo

@Andy... thanks because being mean is unnecessary!
