Looking for the best Nashville demo studio
Hi all, I've been a member for 3+ years now and this is my first post EVER!! yikes...
I've a couple of country songs with great potential but I don't have the gear to pull out all the stops and get them to a place of Grammy contenders. Where could a guy send them and trust that what I get back is quality. I've heard stuff that a few friends have gotten back and some were worse than what they sent. Any help would be great.
Thank you all,
Brian

Chip Hardy produces a lot of the music that comes out of there. He's incredibly good at what he does, and one of the nicest, most grounded people you'll ever meet. If Chip recommends doing something, don't argue with him
It used to be 515 Studios, but they rented it to Sweetwater, I think, then they moved a few doors away.

American songwriter and producer, Nashville-based since 1973. He produces indie projects and songwriter demos at THE 515 Studio in the Berry Hill section of Nashville.
As a songwriter his songs have been recorded by Dionne Warwick, Dean Martin, Conway Twitty & Loretta Lynn, Charley Pride and The Whites. He also wrote songs together with Sam Lorber and Rick Carnes. He was a signed staff writer at Tree International Music Publishing Company and Electra-Asylum Music.
From 1982 to 1989 he was a member of the A&R staff at MCA Records and worked with many of their recording artists, such as George Strait, Reba McEntire, Waylon Jennings, Barbara Mandrell, Roger Miller, Loretta Lynn and Patty Loveless.
His production credits include Loretta Lynn, Dann Rogers, The Vega Bros., Rick & Janis Carnes and Joe Barnhill while being assistant to the producer on projects by George Strait, Reba McEntire, Waylon Jennings, The Oak Ridge Boys, Mac Davis, Roger Miller, Glen Campbell, Barbara Mandrell and others.
He also helped develop Jerrod Neimann while running Marathon Key Music Publishing Company which was a joint venture between Billy Joe Walker, Jr. and Warner Chappell Music.

If you are going to compare 'packages' that these top-notch pro studios offer,
I've had a great experience using Beaird Music Group; including having hired one of their male vocalists.
Hope that helps. Good luck with your search.

Re: Looking for the best Nashville demo studio
For years I thought about getting one of my songs recorded by pros. Finally did it early this year. I used https://www.awritersparadise.com/ and am very happy with the results.
Here's the studio version: https://hogtimemusic.bandcamp.com/track ... io-version
Good luck,
Ralph

HA - I don't remember, Brian.20centjukebox wrote: ↑Wed Sep 07, 2022 6:42 pmPeter, i see i missed a DM from you? sorry just getting to grips with this platform, hope my missing your message didn't offend good sir.
Funny thing, though - just today I had a 30-min. ZOOM/audio-only recording session with BMG's studio band.
Those guys are some of the best in the business; and have played with just about 'everyone'/the 'who's who' in Nashville.
I may have sent you a PM (private message) - offering to have you hear some tracks those guys did for me.
Anyway - no worries - good luck finding the studio that suits your needs.
Cheers,
Peter

HIGHLY recommend. They are one of the few that I've found doesn't make everything sound country (unless that's your target). Pop, rock, singer-songwriter, etc. done very well. They offer full work for hire sign off (additional cost).
If you use a Nashville studio and your target is Film/TV, make sure they offer work for hire sign off and do not use union musicians.
I have 2 already signed with that critical Taxi friendly publisher in LA and another pending review. Tom Hoy (songmaster), who posts here sometimes, has also had good success with them.
Good luck!

OK - so, check your email for notification of a "PM"/ Private Message.
Cheers.
PS: no offense to Casey: but I hire BMG precisely BECAUSE they DO Classic Country & Country-Gospel, which is my "wheelhouse"...
all day long...
when it's not Bluegrass/Americana/Funk/R&B/Jazz... TMI...
