Loops? Funk, house and very modern rock guitar

Funk & house (bass, guitar, other instruments) and very modern rock guitar riffs are desperately needed by me!!Does anybody have any great loops packs that they can recommend to someone who is really tired of dated sounding or badly recorded products?

Big Fish Audio has some of the dopest loops I've heard on the market along with E-lab. Check 'em out.God bless.P.S. Something was up with the Big Fish Audio website so you may have to check back.

Read the fine print with Big Fish! Ask them to clarify what library usage means. I don't use their construction kits because of their stated policy which is a shame cause they do have good stuff.Nine Volt Audio Stylin Basslines is good, it works in Stylus, it comes as REX files and you convert them.Mazz

Excellent - I just checked BF and they say *all* loops can be used in other pieces, but I'm going to read further. I hadn't heard of E-lab and 9 volt so I'm going to check them out as well - Thanks guys!

Hi Anne,You may want to check out ModernBeats.com. They're pretty inexpensive, and as far as I can tell they have pretty good stuff. I purchased one of their loop libraries before, and am very happy with it. Mazz's recommendation to read the fine print is good advice. Some libraries are finicky about how you use their loops. But, when I purchased the one loop library from ModernBeats.com, I asked them via email specifically if I could use them in a music library. They wrote back, asking specifically how it would be used, and I said that their loops may end up in compositions of mine, which would then end up in a music library. They confirmed that that use is within the user agreement.They just don't want you to use their loops in your own loop collection that you then sell to other composers.

Hey Anne,Great suggestions here, I'll add one more to the mix for you to check out: http://www.loopmasters.com/product/details/70From the sound of the samples, they seem to be going for an authentic old school funk sound.I haven't used that specific package, but have used some of their other loop packs and have gotten a lot of use out of them. They are fairly inexpensive, give you the sounds in pretty much every format you can think of, and they usually give you some multisample patches as well which is cool. Also, if you are doing any hip hop stuff check out their beat box loops for a whopping $16.00! You can't beat it for the price.-Steve
