"Laissez les bon temps roulez!" is really more of a deep Cajun saying, my part of the world (think Lafayette and surrounding areas). I live here in N'awlins now, but grew up smack dab in the middle of real Cajun country. Although it is said here sometimes (I know of a bar that's named that, but haven't heard it said here by any real locals), you really hear that kind of stuff back in the heartland. It's not important, but I thought I'd add some further edumacation.B

Where are ya B?I spent 8 months in Breaux Bridge in 2007. Helped build the new Wal Mart there. Went to Lafayette several times.Loved the food hated the climate! Some of the nicest people Ive ever met down there. Also worked in Broussard on the Wal Mart and The Home Depot that were built there. Talk about Real Cajuns!! Ill not say what the locals call themselves.

Well as a pure bred registered Coon-Ass I am already familiar with what the locals call themselves. The food does rule and the climate does suck. You really were smack dab in the middle of Cajun country my man. I'm from Eunice, 40 miles northwest of Lafayette. Did you see Dan Ackroyd in Breaux Bridge? He loves that place and you'll find him on a Harley tooling around more often than not. He knows where the good food is. Heading back in that direction on Monday to visit the folks and stock up on sausage and boudin!B
