Lyrics to Music Contracts?

Post by southern0077 » Thu Feb 12, 2009 4:31 pm

I have received contracts from NCA Music and Paramount Group Inc. I am considering sending Majestic Records my lyrics. Has anyone had dealings with these companies? Any information about these companies, or other companies is appreciated.

Man I can't believe those crooks (Paramount) are still in business. I first heard about them like 7 years ago. I figured with the intense bad publicity they were getting then (and still do), they'd be run out of town by now.

It was my disappointment with one of these companies that led me to seek other options. That's how I found out about Taxi. Billy

LOL--everybody is RIGHT--even for somebody "new" , i found out before i sent a dime to Paramount that it was a scam--especially when i tested them with admittedly the worst c/w tune i have ever written (or anybody else for that matter)...and they loved it!!FRAUD!!!! oh, also be careful with some LA companies that somehow (I believe...i signed ALLOT OF STUFF at the rally) got my email, asked for tunes, and each sent me a contract, and asked for just $395 and they'd make a demo, etc. etc. WELLLL.....i emailed craig at Taxi and asked for his advice, not knowing much...he said he couldn't vouch for any company directly, BUT suggested that i check the BETTER BIZ BUREAU for each of them and BAM-- they each had "F" ratings....so there was my answer.the best,wh

I don't believe there are ANY legit lyrics to music companies... If you write lyrics but not music, seek out collaborators.... This is one good place to find them! Casey

Paramount has been around a long, long time. Their website has lots of nice photos of signs on Music Row (many of those companies have long been out of business or have changed names). Paramount does not have a good reputation.Claire
