Not sure if it's been said already.
But your composition/performance isn't really the problem here - it's the authenticity of the instruments.
I think it's a cool little track, don't get me wrong - but this sounds like it's from a 90's video game set in the desert.
I feel like it lacks the "authenticity" that they were asking for.
If you were to strip this down and just use a simple hand drum rhythm and the reed flute/horn that comes in near the end (kind of like a "snake charmer's pipe"?) you'd be much closer to what they wanted.
IMHO

The whole thing, as it sits fits into "muzak" to my ears.
NOT a bad thing..but just not right for this listing.
