Just listened to this today (11/15). Not sure if you uploaded an updated mix, but I think this a fantastic piece, and ready for submission!

Hi folks,

Thanks Kel, Nick, Marty and Jeff for your input. I just posted an updated mixed and mastered version complete with keyswitches and reverb. If anyone catches something blatantly off, please don't hesitate to call me on it.

Marty, I spent many years in Rochester. My wife was the Principal Oboist of the Rochester Philharmonic for many years and I conducted a number of concerts with them as well.
I don't really miss the winters, however!

Cheers,

Vince

Hi Vincent. I listened to "Night In The City Of Jasmine". Great orchestration. Sounds very authentic for a Middle East listing. About that dumbek thing - there is a little flourish (appears first at 0.16) every other bar that sometimes seems a little out of time. Maybe that loop shouldn't happen quite so often? The plucked instrument from 1.25 to 1.38 also a little lazy - but it also seems real - so maybe it's cool! Good luck. Cheers, Doug

Thanks for pointing those things out Doug. I did my best to address them. Now it is in the reviewers hands.

Thanks Kel,

Yes, I thought long and hard about a good title and that's what I came up with.

I am honored that you feel honored!

A beautiful piece, Vince!

I really enjoyed the nimble phrasing and what you did with the strings.

Did you submit this to the middle eastern instrumental listing expiring nov 22 as well?

Hi ochaim,

I'm glad you liked the track.

Yes, I submitted this to the Nov. 22 listing and will adjust it for the Dec. 8 listing looking for danceble world music. I'll drop the intro and work something new in it's stead.

Cheers,

Vince
