Missed the boat (or sleigh) on this one.

I wonder if I was the only one confused by the description below. It made a number of references to instrumentation, and didn't specifically say No Instrumentals, so I assumed both instrumentals and vocals were okay. Needless to say, they were looking for vocals only, so my poor Jingle Bells arrangement was returned unwrapped. :(

FESTIVE, NON-RELIGIOUS CHRISTMAS SONGS wanted by top-notch TV/Film publisher servicing television, advertising, and film. Songs should evoke the FUN & MERRIMENT of a TRADITIONAL Christmas holiday without being religious. Bring on the happy Santas, garlands of lights, and excited children with shining eyes! Public Domain songs (pre-1920) are okay if they fit the description. A full arrangement with bells and strings will work well here; make your music evoke the holiday spirit! They're looking for an authentic, old-fashioned Christmas sound so be sure all instruments are realistic and vocals are first rate. Broadcast quality needed (excellent home recordings are fine). You must own 100% of your master recording. NO UNION PLAYERS. Please submit one to three songs online or per CD, include lyrics. All submissions will be screened on a YES/NO BASIS ONLY - NO CRITIQUES FROM TAXI. Submissions must be received no later than Tuesday, November 23, 2010. TAXI #Y101123XM

That's too bad. Your track sounds great. It does not say "no instrumentals", so I would think an insturmental would be considered.

Better luck next time!

The beauty of being returned unwrapped is you can re-gift it ;)

Yup, you'll re-gift it one day... :D 8-)

My understanding is when a listing says "SONGS", not "SONGS AND INSTRUMENTALS", they are only looking for vocal songs. I didn't find this listing confusing that way.

But... you have one more in the arsenal for other opps... :)

Merry Xmas,
Casey
