Hey Matt and Bill, thanks for the encouraging words. I'm just gonna keep plugging away at it. Bill... I actually live just south of Nashville and work about 10 minutes from the downtown area.

Hi Guys,I tried looking for a seting in winamp, but didn't see anything in regards to streaming... I read on a post after searching that winamp has problems with file naming with numbers, so in this case, the song is called: Hey Hey 07-28-08_153 542[1].mp3.m3u which is a mouthful for winamp i guess What i ended up doing was changing the association for m3u files to use windows media player instead. I don't mind that and normally only use winamp to listen to albums off my computer anyways...Ok, Now to the song- it was great!!! Very catchy, well written with great chorus hooks. You have a great voice barry....Now, I have to disagree with the reviewer(oh ohh).. When i started reading your post up top there, I saw where it said that it wanted more of a lean towards rock than pop....After reading that i said to myself, oh shoot, there's is the problem because Barry's song is too poppy for what they seemed to want, but then i kept reading his review..... THIS IS NOT CLASSIC ROCK... this is extremely modern pop...Man, where do I sign up to be a reviewer are they kidding me???Maceman

thanks Maceman, and thanks for taking the time to go through all those hassles just to listen to the songs. Much appreciated. As much as I would like to take credit for the voice, I can't. It belongs to my co-writer (and best friend in the whole world other than my wife) Joel. I just posted a new thread regarding this song getting forwarded for a similar listing today. Here's the link if you wanna check it out - http://taxi.proboards27.com/index.cgi?b ... 9405Thanks again!- Big Blue

Good song BB, congrats on the eventual forward. I think it is exactly what the listing asked for. I'm really starting to question the experience and ability of the screeners, my first critiques have come in and they are very contradictory.

Thanks louis... I've had about 30 returns since I joined and this has been the only one where I've really felt like the screener was just wrong. Have you posted your critiques in the Reviews section?- Big Blue

Hey BBB... I find myself siding with the screener here a bit.... but it also maybe a case of the "Classic Rock" envelope opening up a bit..... I remember back in the 90's (you have to picture rocking chair, glasses etc...) when I was working at an Applebees a group of 18'ish servers were talking about Flock o' Seagulls and The Smiths and I was about to use that as an opportunity to make an intro when one goes ""Yeah, I just love oldies!" You see what I mean? Our idea of classic and oldies runs about 10 - 20 years off what the kids think....That being said it's a great song (on listen like 6 or 7).... try the TWEEN POP/ROCK listings..... I was listening to Miley the other day.... that stuff's straight outa the 80's if you ask me.... might fly there...Continued success....Geo

Thanks Geo... I get what you're saying... That's kinda what I've resolved this return to be in my head, that the screener might have been a bit younger than I am so his definition of "classic rock" and my definition of it aren't the same. Thanks for taking the time to listen, glad you enjoyed it. - Big Blue
