Ah, memories! First time I ever got my mind erm, 'expanded', I was sitting in the bucket seat of a primer black '68 Mustang, listening to Crystal Ball on an eight-track with Craig speakers. People talk a lot of smack about Styx these days, but they had a progressive phase before they "sold out". And them boys could play! Check out Castle Walls, sometime, or Suite Madame Blue. (I once heard a cover band pull that off in a little dive bar-amazing!)

Ern, after much thought I have finally decided on my nomination:
"Don't Do It" by The Band
I love listening to and playing this one.

Oh hell ya Mojo, Suite Madam Blue is amazing. I used to listen to Styx all the time... there was few songs from them I wasn't that into, but more often then not if Styx wrote/performed it... I liked it. If not loved it!

Re: Most Emotional Classic Rock Song?
MR. Roboto tour, in Ft. Myers, FL was probably the greatest rock show I ever saw; the whole thing was done as a Broadway style revue, featuring the music of (duh) Styx. Their previous record was a concept album about The Paradise Theater, and the tour was an expansion of the theme. Show started with a movie to set up the premise, sheesh, even the Who hadn't done that, at the time. There was a concert film of the homecoming show in Chicago, but the band was exhausted and on the verge of breaking up, by then. I saw the tour at its peak, about four weeks in. It was brilliant, but Dennis DeYoung's ego pretty much left the rails afterward. (probably didn't surprise anybody who was close to the situation; the music was brilliant and most of it was Dennis') Made things hard with the band, after that, though. There was a lot more to the aftermath, but I'll leave that to Behind The Music, heh.

Re: Most Emotional Classic Rock Song?
Is King Crimson classic rock? If so I would definitely have to say "Epitaph" or "Starless"
