So when the movie 50 Shades of Gray came out, a wave of pop hit the charts that was apparently part of the movie's soundtrack. Same thing happened with the new Suicide Squad movie.
Who gains from this? Who pays who? Why don't all pop hits market themselves with movies? I'm curious how this whole arrangement works.
