Multiple malfunctions in Logic X
I shut down my computer awhile ago and upon starting it up again and launching an existing Logic project I no longer am able to change screen sets, either from the number pad or from the Screenset menu. The scroll bar no longer moves, the resize icon for regions don't show up. There might be more but that's enough to drive me crazy. This is happening on the existing project as well as when I create a new project. Any one else experiencing this? I unfortunately accidentaly upgraded to Sierra 10.12.4 the other night, could be related, I don't know. My Logic version is 10.3.1.

It looks it was a corrupted file. I learned that if I started with any other project it didn't happen but as soon as I opened that one project the behavior happened to that and any other project I opened. So I copied everything into a new project and it seems to be fixed. Weird....

This exact thing has happened to me too (in Logic 10.2)

There was a guy on the Apple Communities board that caught it too. Maybe we should get vaccinated!

I've experienced that problem as well. It was when I updated (not a clean install) the OS to a newer version.
I'll never make that mistake again.

Well this issue has returned on a new song. The previous song hasn't been played in weeks so I know it's not related to that. I know of 2 other people who have had the exact same issue so it's some kind of a bug. Aargh!

Hey Orest, how do you do a clean install when the new operating systems are only available from the app store? Or are they?orest wrote:I've experienced that problem as well. It was when I updated (not a clean install) the OS to a newer version.

Re: Multiple malfunctions in Logic X
Hey Jon,
If I'm misunderstanding you, sorry in advance.
You can sign in to your apple account at the app store and go to 'purchased', and all of your previous mac OSes are there. Do a fresh install of which ever one you want to roll back to and update. I'm not sure I have ever had to do a totally fresh OSX install to fix a problem, but maybe I'm just lucky (I boot from a recent clone if I have to roll back).
It could also be the version of Logic, although I have heard pretty good things bug-squashing-wise about 10.3.1, and I have also had the problem you have on older versions of Logic, so...?? Logic is a killer app for music, but sometimes it's so so so annoying.

Also, Logic 10.3 is a forced OS update - OSX 10.11 is the minimum. So if you roll back your OS before 10.11, you have to roll back your Logic version too. (That's why I'm still on Logic 10.2)
