Hey Ern;

I know people who have good results using the Alpha Stim for stabilizing mood imbalances. A friend of my daughter's uses it for her bi-polar disorder and finds it very helpful. My daughter uses the alpha-stim to deal with brain chemistry imbalances from her car accident last year, and finds it very helpful most of the time.

Might check it out. Here's one link about it:

I believe you need a doctor's prescription for it, and that some psychiatrists and M.D.s are more familiar with this non-drug approach to balancing the brain than others -- so if this approach interests you, do your research and present it to your sister's practitioner.

BTW, my daughter got her alpha stim used on Craigs list . . . she did have a prescription for its use, but had she not, she likely would have tried it anyway, as she prefers non-chemical approaches to health care. :-)

Hope things improve for your sister. !
Suz

Hmmm --- very interesting! Maybe 'I' should try it first! :mrgreen:

That's because my sister will probably be let go from her new "job" that my wife found for her as apartment manager. The powers-that-be can't deal with her mood swings. IF they let her go, supposedly someone will give her a Section 8 apartment, but she maintains that she can't live on her disability checks, because after paying for all her bills she'll be left with $100/mo. for food. --- It's really sad, as Mojo said, that the mentally disabled in this country live in below poverty levels.

When will the Federal Government's health plan kick in? I heard that it just did, but won't come into full effect until 2014. Until then, all the mentally ill that Reagan's administration put on the street live locally near downtown L.A. in boxes. If they go to a local ER for treatment, they get put in a van and are dumped back out on Skid Row. There's no money for the unfortunate, they tell the local news. --- What a sickening, pathetic society we live in when we cannot care for the poor and downtrodden. --- The Roman fiddler is playing right now.

P.S. Kaiser Permanente just cancelled ALL new insurance on children right before the new law came into effect. Nice.

Ern :cry:
