One thing that jumped out at me right away... I know you are from the UK and therefore "across the sea" can be the USA. However, since the USA is such a big part of the overall music market, this could be confusing to folks here since California obviously isn't across the sea for us (unless you one takes the VERY long route )...

I like the verses, with one quibble which I'll get to in a bit, but I don't think the chorus pays off at all. I'm wondering if the song would work better as a verse/verse/bridge/verse form and use a bit of the chorus as a refrain.

The quibble is that you don't win or lose at jigsaw puzzles, so I don't think that part of the analogy works.

I think this can be very good! Thanks for sharing.
