My first forward since re-joining!

Post by Casey H » Tue Dec 16, 2008 12:21 pm

I re-joined taxi recently after a few years off... needed more tracks to pitch. Well, I just got my first forward of the new membership! VARIOUS WORLD MUSIC INSTRUMENTALS (no vocals!) are needed by a UK-based Production Music Library for Film/TV placement opportunities. They'll be open to a variety of regions and Ethnic instrumentation, but be sure the sounds are authentic and the arrangements are dynamic/compelling. They'll be really interested in tracks that have a current tone along with the World Music stylistic approach. They won't want to hear anything that's overly synth generated - the more authentic the better! Be sure that there are no vocals in the track and that the performances are outstanding. Your track(s) should be within 1:00-3:00 in length and Broadcast Quality is needed (excellent home recordings should be okay). This company offers non-exclusive, 50/50 deals. Please submit one to three songs online or per CD. All submissions will be screened on a YES/NO BASIS - NO CRITIQUES FROM TAXI - and must be received no later than November 26, 2008. TAXI #Y081126WOwww.taxi.com/caseyh"The Foreign Sun (Instrumental Mix B)"Special thanks to a few special friends here for all their help... You know who you are!!! Hey, it's been 30 minutes and no call yet!!! Casey

Really nice composition (WOW!) and if anyone is curious about "broadcast quality" (the higher end of the definition) this about as good as it gets.

Thanks Dave! I can only take credit for once writing a song on the balcony of a hotel in Haifa, Israel... 1980! The backing track is all by hired studio guns... One thing I'm proud of is the guitar licks were really my writing (not playing), not just studio arrangement. But all the performance and production as well as other parts of the arragement were the studio. Casey
