Hello,If its for a listing that got a lot of submissions, it might take a few weeks, or so. To what listing did you submit?

Ahh thankyou - that helpsit was to this oneS071205IRYoung and incredibly talented INDIE POP-ROCK ARTISTS along the lines of Rilo Kiley, the Decemberists, the Arcade Fire, Modest Mouse, the New Pornographers, the Shins, etc. are wanted by the VP of A&R at a Major Int'l Label/Management Co. Vocal/writing talents must be 2nd to none -- they're seeking that someone unique and special. A marketable image is also very important. We've been asked to be quite selective in whom we forward, so submit only your very best songs. Please submit two to three songs online or per CD, include lyrics/photo/bio. All submissions will be screened and critiqued by TAXI and must be received no later than Dec. 5, 2007. TAXI # S071205IRIt probably will be a popular one - as long as that is the norm then that is most finexxx

The most recent submissions i have heard from were from mid Nov. For a listing like this it can easily take 4 weeks.good luck, that is the very definition of a "high bar" listing.

Good luck!"A marketable image is also very important"Quick! Add a picture where you aren't looking at the neck. They'll want more than a little stage presence, too

Yeah, Stickboy...A lesser number of submissions can still take 3 weeks for the screeners to get through. Something like this could take as long as 6 weeks, but in my experience, that's the extreme. You'll hear something by (before the end of) January, at the latest.Ted

Hey Stickboy,Ted brings up a good point. Remember that it's also the holidays and you can bet that the number of screeners probably drops a bit around these times as folks go off to be with their loved ones.Have a little patience and start working on your next submission. You will find that waiting around to hear the news can be an exercise in frustration especially in the event that your song doesn't quite make the cut. Then you've just waited around to hear bad news. Besides if you do make the cut it's even better to get a little holiday surprise in your inbox.Best regards,Cisco
